MAC Equipment Overview

MAC Equipment, Inc provides engineering-driven solutions for the material handling and air quality management requirements of customers in process-based manufacturing environments such as the food, chemicals, building products, plastics, ethanol and biodiesel industries.

With more than 30 years of experience in designing, engineering and manufacturing customised systems that become the heart of its customers' processing operations, MAC has become an internationally recognised leader in two core applications: pneumatic conveying and highly-engineered industrial air filtration.

Pneumatic conveying is a cost-advantaged alternative to mechanical processes as these solutions can utilise controlled streams of air to move granular or particle-based bulk materials through various stages of a production process at a controlled rate of flow. E.g. a pneumatic conveying system can be employed by a snack food manufacturer to unload raw ingredients from a truck or railcar to a bulk storage system. Pneumatic conveying can then be utilised to efficiently transfer the raw ingredients to specific process locations within the plant. MAC has the capability to engineer and manufacture a full range of pneumatic conveying systems, which are customised to meet the needs of process industries.

Air filtration systems are used for the filtration and removal of (i) 'process' dust generated in conjunction with the movement and handling of granular solids in process-based manufacturing environments, and (ii) the 'nuisance' or 'fugitive' dust present in typical industrial environments from such activities as metalworking, welding, material shredding and ingredient mixing. MAC offers an extensive array of dust collection and air filtration systems that are sold as either stand-alone solutions for a variety of industrial applications unrelated to pneumatic conveying or can be sold in conjunction with MAC's pneumatic conveying systems.
