Clyde Process Solutions plc - Pre-Close Trading Statement
| Press Release | 25 February 2010 |
Clyde Process Solutions plc
(“CPS” or the “Group”)
Pre-Close Trading Update
The Group’s trading performance since the half year has been in line with market expectations, as it continues to drive forward its well diversified strategy across customer markets and geographical territories. These initiatives have been complemented by a diligent focus on customer contact, controlling costs, credit control and managing cash.
CPS’s order book as at 31 January 2010 stood at £19.5 million against £24.5 million at the same point in the previous year, reflecting the continuing challenging economic trading conditions experienced by the Group. However, CPS has built a healthy sales pipeline from a wide range of customer markets, which is providing a solid foundation for order intake growth.
The Group’s ability to deliver the operational, economic and environmental benefits which can be achieved through the implementation of its pneumatic conveying and air filtration solutions have been paramount to many of the orders which have been secured during this financial year.
Alex Stewart, Chief Executive of Clyde Process Solutions plc, said: “Order book and sales prospect conversion have formed the focal point of our efforts during the second half of this financial year. 2009 was clearly a challenging economic climate to operate within but our business has performed strongly during this period thanks to the efforts of our global workforce. Whilst the Group enters 2010 in a solid position, we recognise that a degree of uncertainty remains in the timing of capital expenditure across some of our key customer markets.”
“We shall, however, continue to drive forward our well diversified strategy by promoting the operational, economic and environmental benefits our innovative solutions can generate across all our key customers markets, through our broad geographical sales footprint.”
