Clyde Process Solutions plc - New Order Secured
Clyde Process Solutions plc
(“CPS” or the “Group”)
£3.6 million order secured from leading European building products manufacturer
Clyde Process Solutions plc (AIM: CPSP), a provider of customer-driven, material handling solutions for process industries, announces that it has been awarded a £3.6 million order with a leading European building products manufacturer.
CPS’s operating subsidiary, Clyde Materials Handling Ltd (“CMH”), will provide this customer with a turnkey solution that will be installed on one of their major cast iron production facilities.
This leading European building products manufacturer is seeking to install a series of pulverised coal injection systems that can manage the movement of coal from storage silos to mini blast furnaces which are located on their production facility. The coal acts as a fuel in these mini blast furnaces, which are used to produce molten iron.
As part of the scope of supply for this order, CMH will create a solution that will feed pulverised coal to a series of splitters located in close proximity to each mini blast furnace. Individual pipes will then transport the pulverised coal directly to the tuyeres of the mini blast furnace. The CMH solution also incorporates blockage detection and clearing systems, ensuring that a reliable and accurate feed of coal is delivered to the mini blast furnace.
Commenting on this new order, Alex Stewart, Chief Executive of Clyde Process Solutions plc said: “We are delighted to secure this £3.6 million order with a leading European building products manufacturer, which will support our new customer in delivering consistent levels of productivity in their mini blast furnace process.”
“We have a growing reference list of customers in the mini blast furnace market where we have used our pneumatic injection technologies to reliably and accurately deliver critical raw materials into the heart of iron-making processes. This order, which is the largest CMH has secured so far in the current trading period, was won against competition from Europe and South East Asia. The order was secured with healthy levels of contribution and is in line with management expectations.”
