Clyde Process Solutions plc - New Contract

Clyde Process Solutions plc

(“CPS” or the “Group”)

£1 million order secured from world’s leading producer of platinum

Clyde Process Solutions plc (AIM: CPSP), a provider of customer-driven, material handling solutions for process industries, announces that it has been awarded a £1 million order by the world’s leading producer of platinum.

The order was secured by CPS’s recently established operating subsidiary in South Africa, Clyde Materials Handling Africa (“CMHA”). CMHA was formed in November 2008 with strong and experienced local management in an effort to grow revenue and market share, particularly within the metals and minerals markets.

This £1 million order comprises of six pneumatic conveying systems which CMHA will supply, install and commission in an effort to support this customer’s objective of doubling capacity at one of their South African platinum smelters. Two of these pneumatic conveying systems will transport platinum concentrate within the customer’s facility, with the four other systems utilised to handle ultra fine dusts, which are generated during the smelting process. CPS’s pneumatic conveying technology has the ability to reintroduce these harmful and potentially pollutant dusts back into the smelting process.

The environmentally beneficial and energy efficient strengths of CPS’s pneumatic conveying technology played an integral role in securing this contract, together with the Group’s proven track record of handling ultra fine dusts within the metals market.

Commenting on the new order, Alex Stewart, Chief Executive of Clyde Process Solutions plc said: “I am exceptionally pleased to announce another sizeable contract, which builds on the record order disclosed last week. Specifically, I am delighted that our newly formed South African operating subsidiary has secured such a notable order with the world’s largest platinum producer.

“The relationships that our South African based team has developed in the platinum industry were a significant contributor in securing this order. CPS is now regarded as a leading pneumatic conveying technology provider to the global platinum metals market.  This order is in line with management expectations and secured at a competitive level of contribution.

“The orders we have recently won have enabled us to generate a solid order book as we enter our next financial year. Our market driven, customer focused strategy is yielding many opportunities which we shall continue to pursue and convert in the coming months”
